Bore Depth?
*
What is the current depth of the water bore, measured from ground level?
Bore Casing Diameter?
*
What is the inside diameter of the bore casing? Is the bore casing PVC or steel?
Standing Water Level?
*
Standing water level is measured from ground level down to the water level.
Pumping water level?
*
Sometimes the pumping water level is recorded. It is a measurement of the water level below ground level when the pump is running.
Pump installation depth?
*
The driller sometimes nominates the depth that the pump should be installed at. In most cases the pump should not be installed at the bottom of the bore. The pump should be installed above the screen.
Bore yield?
*
What is the maximum yield of the bore. Measured in L/sec, Gallons/hour. m3/hr Litres per minute.
Pumping volume required?
*
The pumping volume is always less than the bore yield. The maximum volume may also be restricted by the diameter of the bore casing, available power supply or cost.
Intended use of pumped water?
*
Pumped water from a bore may be used to fill dams, tanks or reservoirs. Pumped direct to irrigation systems or direct into the house.
Pump controls
*
Will the pump need automatic controls for tank filling, operate as a pressure system and safety switches?
Is power available?
