Question 1

What Are the Benefits of Using Submersible Bore Water Pumps?

Accepted Answer

The biggest benefit you can expect from our submersible pumps is increased efficiency. These pumps are specially designed to push water from below water level in the borehole to your tank, taps, or irrigation system in the most efficient way possible.

At Waterborepump Warehouse, we are committed to providing only the best products possible for our customers. We only source the highest quality pumps from manufacturers and partners in Italy, guaranteeing fair prices, maximum efficiency, and reliability every time.

Question 2

Why Do Submersible Pumps Cost More?

Accepted Answer

Submersible bore water pumps generally cost more because they are a higher quality product. They are manufactured using the highest quality stainless steel and boast an efficient hydraulic design. Unlike other pumps on the market that may not meet performance specifications, our submersible pumps are made to last and meet all specifications, standards, and expectations.

Question 3

How Do I Install My Pump?

Accepted Answer

If you can safely handle the total weight of your submersible pump kit, you will likely be able to install it yourself. Our submersible and solar-powered pump kits are pre-wired in our workshop, so you shouldn’t require an electrician on site to help you install these kits. However, more complex, 415v mains powered and high voltage solar will require the services of a licensed electrician.

Check out our installation guide for step-by-step instructions on how to install your pump properly. To install your pump, you will also need the following equipment:

● A submersible rated cable spliced to the short lead from the drive motor
● A pump starter box
● A rising main (the pipe/hose attached to the pump discharge) to get the pumped water to ground level
● A bore cap
● A power supply

Question 4

How Are the Pumps Powered?

Accepted Answer

If you have access to mains power, this is generally the best option for your pump system. However, if mains power is not available, a generator or solar power will be required to operate your submersible pump.

Question 5

What Is Crusader Flexibore?

Accepted Answer

The Crusader Flexibore is a lay flat style of flexible hose that is designed for the installation of submersible pumps. It is rated to safely accommodate the weight of the pumping assembly, plus the added weight of the flexible hose full of water. To learn more about Crusader Flexibore, head over to our Crusader Hose page.

Question 6

What Is the Yield of My Water Bore?

Accepted Answer

The yield of the water bore is the measured extraction rate of water from the water bore. The yield is usually estimated by the well driller during the final stages of the drilling, casing and development of the water bore.

Sometimes, a pump test is required for irrigation or town water supply water bores prior to the final selection of the pump. Our pumps are always sized to ensure that they can not pump at a greater rate than the bore yield.

Question 7

What Is the Difference Between Standing Water Level and Pumping Water Level?

Accepted Answer

The standing water level or SWL refers to the measured distance in metres from ground level to the level of the top of the water within the borehole.

The pumping water level is the measurement of the water level from ground level while the pump is running. As long as the pumping rate is less than the actual yield of the water bore, the pumping water level will remain above the installed depth of the submersible pump.

Question 8

How Do I Know Which Pump is Right for Me?

Accepted Answer

At Waterborepump Warehouse, we are committed to ensuring you are provided with the very best pump for your needs. Head over to our Bore Information page and fill out the form provided to send us information about your water bore. Our team will use these details to choose the correct pump for your requirements.

Question 9

How Long Should My Pump Last?

Accepted Answer

With proper care and maintenance, you can expect well-built submersible bore pumps to last around 20 years. To help your pump have a long service life, you should make sure your pump is:

● Sized accurately
● Installed correctly with the right controls
● Pumping good quality water
● Provided a full service every few years

Question 10

Is There a Warranty?

Accepted Answer

All of our pump systems are covered by our 2-year warranty and are built to last using high-quality components that are pre-tested and configured before packaging. See our Terms of Trade Warranty page for further details.
